ISO Vibration Analysis CAT I is a Three-days course, the training is the ideal starting place for new vibration analysts, people collecting vibration data, and those who want a better understanding of vibration analysis and condition monitoring.

MDI – Machinery Diagnostics Institute Provides this training as per partnership with Mobius Institute,
Accredit certification of successful completion is issued from
Mobius Institute after the training.

Accredit certification according to ISO 18436 is issued from Mobius Institute after passing the ISO examination.

This course you will learn about:

  • condition monitoring, including a summary of the most common technologies
  • Reliability improvement
  • how vibration analysis plays a key role in reliability improvement
  • How machines work via the supplementary self-study “equipment knowledge” section of the manual
  • the fundamentals of vibration: waveforms, spectra, and simple metrics
  • how to take dependable, repeatable, high-quality vibration readings
  • Vibration sensors, and how and where to mount them
  • the basics of the analysis process, primarily with vibration spectra
  • the basics of the key analyzer settings: fmax, resolution, and averaging
  • the basics of setting alarm limits
  • The common “failure modes” of machines and how to detect them, including rolling element bearing faults, unbalance, misalignment, looseness, and resonance
